How do you like them tomatoes ?
(I didn't grow this one, it's just a picture.)
After an idyllic month in paradise, the cats, house plants, tomatoes & I returned to Bronxville around September 1st to resume ..... life. I chopped up the best looking tomato I came home with, separated & picked out ALL the seeds, soaked & rinsed them over a 7 day process to remove all the S.L.I.M.E and set them out to dry. They lived in the cupboard, in an envelope for 8 months.
(They're fuzzy seeds.)
And on Easter Sunday I planted them.

The cutest seedlings EVER !!
Easter Sunday, April 8, 2012, I planted my seeds.
On Sunday April 15, I woke up to THIS !! One single seedling. It's she the cutest !!
Wednesday April 18th.
Friday April 20th.
k, let me back up a bit. These are Purple Cherokee Tomatoes, or they will be come August.
Last year the planets and universe aligned and allowed me the gift of having the month of August 2011 off. I spent the month on Cape Cod at my parent's home, tending to Mother's vegetable garden and the garden tended to my soul.
So, here's the start. The start of a new beginning. The growth of new life in me and in the dirt.
More on the seeds ... tomorrow.
